Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) are key signaling molecules in the extracellular matrix that function through their so-called "sulfation code" — the specific patterns of sulfate groups on their chains that determine which proteins they interact with and how. This project aims to decrypt the sulfation code using advanced computational approaches combined with experimental validation. Understanding the sulfation code has profound implications for drug design, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine.
